This Week...

My week usually consists of this....cleaning the kitchen a bazillion times, sweeping the floor even more than that, mounds of laundry, meal planning, meal preparation, taxi driving, diaper changing, toddler entertaining, trying to fit in some lunch and some exercise, and whatever else may come my way.  Sometimes, however, I will do something spontaneous and try and change the routine up.  Today was one of those days where Ammon, Porter, and I picked up and took off to the dinosaur park.  It was fun, it was great weather, and it was nice to do something with my boys....especially the three year old who needed some time with his Mom.  I will always have dishes....but I won't always have these years.
I have a husband who understands this too...he took the time to roast mini marshmallows with Ammon over the stove.  Of course it was all Ammon's idea and we helped him out with one of his many many projects throughout the day.

This week....I was showered with gifts.  First came "Boog" the earthworm that Ammon dug up and then so very affectionately came and gave to me.
Then came some dandelions....some of the most beautiful I've ever seenI also received about 1,000 poisonous berries picked off a neighbor's bush and a couple of over sized rocks.  How I love little boys.  It reminds me of the time when Riley was about this age. He knocked on our outside door, had something hidden behind his back, and after a rendition of his version of the "Happy Birthday" song presented me with a few treasured rocksIt wasn't my birthday but it might has well been.

This week is also full of baths....as the weather warms the little people (especially Ammon) have to be found under layers of dirt and ice cream.
And for family night this week we went and planted some items at "the farm". Hopefully this year we will be able to enjoy the harvest of the huge family garden we are trying to plant.
Just had to get this picture of Matt and James working.....you know....for posterity's sake.

As usual...a very happy baby.  I feel so lucky to have such an easy going little guy.  It makes my life a lot easier....and not to jinks myself but....he is sleeping through the night!  I'm crossing my fingers that this is going to be a permanent thing!
