We had a pretty busy weekend over Easter which also happened to be Spring Break for the kids too. With a family party and Porter's Baby blessing we had a full weekend. Porter was blessed one week before he turned four months old. Up to this time I have stayed home from church with him and have pretty much kept him in a bubble to keep him healthy. I still cringe if I am sitting in church and hear someone coughing. Last week I just picked up and came home. He's still so little and with everything we went through with him I am still pretty cautious.
Independent minded and busy....so very busy. Of course he can peel his own hard boiled eggs....why would I ever doubt?
All my peeps (short for people and what I always call my children)....I am learning a lot in my current profession of home manager and Mom. Teenagers and Toddlers and Everything in-between (sounds like a good title for a book). Busy and Exhausting but ever so worth it. I do it for my Peeps!
Don't you love those family photos where you are still trying to get ready? Whoops...we're missing a kid...where's Matt? It takes some doing so we don't do it often.
It was a great day. Porter's blessing, given by Rob was beautiful and I couldn't stop the tears as I thought of all that we went through to get this little guy here. I feel so blessed that he is doing so well. He is our little fighter and has brought a lot of joy into our house.
Easter morning used to be a pretty exciting morning for us....now this is what we get....non enthusiastic children who would rather be sleeping. Thank goodness for Ammon who came into the kitchen that morning and shouted "YAAAAAH! He came!" He was so excited to see his Easter basket.
Now that Jim and Elaine are home we all got together for the annual Easter Egg party and hunt. Emily and Anna were the winners of the coveted golden nugget and rock that produces money from Grandpa. It's a big deal and everyone wants it...even me (even though I'm not eligible to look!)
