Easter Weekend

Despite my melancholy mood, we did dye Easter eggs this past weekend. I was also feeling pretty bad that we weren't doing anything exciting for the kid's Spring Break. Not that they needed to be entertained, but a few weeks ago we did talk about going camping down in Zions, which turned into an Easter egg hunt at Rob's sister's house which turned into Rob and I being gone most of Saturday... which left us doing nothing. So, we took the kids to a movie on Friday and because of the kindness of my parent's hearts, the kids spent most of Saturday with my parents while we were gone. Sunday was a great day. The kids really pitched in and helped with dinner so I could rest and I even got in a nap. We spent the rest of the day together as a family and I started to pull myself out of my self-pity. Here's a few pictures from our weekend.

I didn't want to spend all afternoon on my foot fixing dinner when I had plenty of capable people around to help. Emily and I peeled hard boiled eggs on my bed and chatted. I'm trying to find the positive in all of this and this was one of them.
