Easter

Easter rolled around quickly this year. I went back and forth on the egg dying activity. Should we? Shouldn't we? The nice Mom came out and we did and it was fun and not too messy either. We also went to Rob's parents and did the annual Easter party. The younger kids hunt for eggs, the pre-teens have a scavenger hunt, and all the kids search for Grandpa's golden nugget that is worth twenty dollars. Even though the odds were in our favor, we still didn't find it (Brandon had his hand practically on it). Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

You're never too old to dye eggs (even though I think Brandon went up and shot them with a BB gun on our mountain afterwards)

The whole crew Easter morning. I have to say, Easter candy is the best (I bought a few bags for my small chocolate stash that I keep hidden for an emergency)
Easter this year fell on our General Conference. I love, love, love General Conference. It gives me renewed strength and hope and I always come away with a greater desire to be better. I also love being with my family and looking around the room with us all spread out listening to these inspired words. We all get our blankets and pillows and it's like a big slumber party for the day. I feel so blessed to be a Mom to all these kids and so very blessed to celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

  1. Of course you are never too old to dye eggs... Ryan, Becky Jo, Craig and I all dyed eggs this weekend and we're old! Same goes for carving pumpkins! Looks like you had a fun weekend!
