Winter

I'm pretty opinionated when it comes to this season. I hate being cold and thus I pretty much can't stand winter. I'd rather be sweating profusely in 100 degree weather than be cold. However, I have tried to be optimistic and enjoy the season realizing that there isn't much I can do about it. So, this is what I have done. I've enjoyed sitting by my fireplace reading a good book. I've enjoyed hot chocolate more. I've had some great winter runs (as in running, not the diarrhea kind). I've enjoyed being in my "snuggie" that I got for Christmas as I eat all of my comfort foods (cookies and brownies-yum!) I got my basement painted (even though I have to redo one room because I can't stand the color). I also got to enjoy watching my kids have some fun in the snow. Fortunately we live right by the mountain so they can go sledding in our backyard. So, I've done everything I can to enjoy the season---it's time for Spring!

  1. I'm ready for spring too! Especially with all these bright sunny days. But those pictures of your kids in the snow are so cute! It looks like the kids got good use out of their sleds!

  3. I am SO tired of the cold. I don't mind the snow if it stays off the road and where I (Doran) would have to shovel.

Your kids are growing up too fast.
